Shooting range service

Target carriers, lighting, targets and control run in conditions that forgive nothing. RangeTech service keeps the technology of a range in working order to a plan, rather than after a breakdown. Maintenance, repairs, genuine spare parts and software updates all come from the manufacturer that designed and built every one of those devices.

Scope

What shooting range service covers

01

Planned maintenance

Regular inspection and maintenance: target carrier mechanics, rails, lighting and control. Faults are found before they take a lane out of use.

02

Repairs and breakdowns

We diagnose the cause and restore the equipment. We know every assembly, because we designed and manufactured it ourselves.

03

Spare parts

Genuine spare parts are kept for every RangeTech device. We replace the assembly, not the whole device.

04

Software updates

RangeTech Master is developed continuously. Remote updates keep the facility on the current version, with new functions and fixes.

How a service call runs

From the first call to handover

  1. 01

    The call

By phone or e-mail: you describe the symptoms and the system they concern.

  2. 02

    Diagnosis

We establish the cause and the scope of work and confirm a date. Many problems are solved over the network.

  3. 03

    Repair

Work is planned to keep the facility standing idle for as little time as possible.

  4. 04

    Handover and advice

We confirm the system is working and hand over operating recommendations for the equipment.

Self-diagnostics

The devices report their own condition

RangeTech target carriers, turning targets and lighting run self-diagnostics. RangeTech Master collects the reports and shows what needs attention before it turns into a breakdown. The service engineer arrives with the right part rather than to take a look.

Questions and answers

Common questions about range service and spare parts

How often should a shooting range be serviced?

Planned maintenance once or twice a year suits most facilities. Intensively used military and police ranges are inspected more often. We agree the interval with the operator after the first inspection.

How long are spare parts available?

Genuine spare parts are kept for every RangeTech device throughout its service life. Assemblies are replaceable, so a repair usually means swapping one module rather than the whole device.

Can a fault be solved without a site visit?

Often, yes. RangeTech Master reports the condition of the devices and lets us run diagnostics and updates over the network, so a good number of calls are closed remotely.

What does the warranty cover?

Warranty of up to 7 years on the devices. The details depend on the configuration and on how the facility is used, and they are set out in the contract.

Do you look after equipment installed by someone else?

We assess the whole facility during an audit and say what condition each system is in. For equipment from other suppliers we usually propose modernisation of the technology layer.

Repair, do not replace. A device is meant to work for years, and service is there to let it.
