Why Surround

Sound as part of the scenario

01

Plays in the scenario

In RangeTech Master the sound starts when the scenario calls for it and changes at each stage.

02

Works with the whole system

RangeTech Light follows the sound, and the targets react in the same rhythm. One scenario runs every device.

03

Training people remember

Sound, light and reacting targets make military and police training more realistic. On a commercial range they give customers a session they will not find elsewhere.

Example

A scenario with sound

  1. 01

    Silence and full light

The shooter takes position and the system waits for the start.

  2. 02

Lights go down, sound comes in

RangeTech Light goes to dusk, RangeTech Surround plays the background: movement, announcements, battlefield simulation.

  3. 03

    The target turns

RotoTarget shows the foe, the sound builds. The shooter has a fraction of a second.

  4. 04

    Hit and debrief

LOMAH reports the result, the sound fades, the light returns. Then the next stage starts, or the exercise ends.

Application

Battlefield simulation and announcements

Range audio runs as its own zone, separate from the rest of the building. The system that controls the carriers and the lights also sends announcements to the shooters and plays the background sound of the exercise.

  • Sound scenes tied to scenario stages
  • Safety announcements and instructor commands
  • Configured together with lights and targets, from one place
